libpython-all-dev software package provides package depending on all supported Python development packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpython-all-dev
libpython-all-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpython-all-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpython-all-dev *
You will get with libpython-all-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
